Jumping on the Google Ngram Train: Cooperation vs. Conflict

Seeing all the interesting (but usually not surprising) Ngrams out there, I thought of a comparison I hadn’t yet seen:

cooperation vs. conflict:

and more specifically, ethnic cooperation vs. ethnic conflict:

For those who don’t know, the world has seen a lot more cooperation than conflict [gated], even if we look at situations/locations of multiple ethnic groups [gated, earlier non-gated version here]. Too bad our literature doesn’t reflect that.
