new social network site for students interested in health/development

28 January 2009

By way of Roger England, author of a recent BMJ article lambasting the prioritization of HIV/AIDS over other serious public health problems, here’s a link to a social network geared at students interested in health and development.

From his email:

This is a news and social network for health students, researchers and professionals. It’s just starting. Its niche is global health and development rather than how to pass first year anatomy. We hope that by combining news and comment with social networking, the site may be used by a wide range of health students and practitioners around the world. It may even help to get medical students and student nurses interested in public health and development issues! Please join and use it, and pass it on to students, researchers and those working in health systems development!

So, if you aren’t already over-committed to checking your FaceBook page, MySpace account, Twitter feed, etc., why not join in and see what membership/engagement will bring?
